An Anti-Drug Operation was held in Brgy Culiat in Quezon City yesterday by Operatives of the Quezon City Police and arrested more than 70 drug suspects. Among them were 5 minors and 17 women. Recovered from them were eight sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalias.
Three houses were identified as Drug Dens. Some of the suspects were caught on the actual pot session.
Mendoza said “They were branded for this for so long already. They have influenced their children to use illegal drugs and do crimes. If you would ask the taxi driver to bring you to Culiat, he would surely refuse.”
Mendoza also said their detention facility in police station 3 is already overcrowded so they will bring them to Camp Karingal to undergo drug testing. They were brought for documentation at a covered court in Brgy. Culiat.
Mendoza said “We should help one another. The PNP cannot do it alone without the help of the community. “
A citizen of the brgy. said “they were not residents here. Salam compound is a peaceful area. There were strangers who cause trouble to us.”
The arrested suspects is facing charges against Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Durgs Act of 2002. The arrested minors will be sent to DSWD.Show more
