In addition is the distribution of more than 300 hectares of land registered with the Tarlac Development Corporation of TADECO owned by the Cojuangco’s which are not included in the court’s decision. It can be recalled that in August this year, Sec. Mariano signed an order that made the said land under Agrarian Reform. The secretary also promised to conduct the land distribution as soon as possible.
Sec. Rafael Mariano said “Our installation of CLOA holders not yet installed on the lots awarded to them, we will be managing that before the year ends.”
The DAR or Department of Agrarian Reform also fix the system of land distribution which had been a problem in the past administration after the awarding went through a raffle.
Several farmers were forced to sold or have the lands awarded to them rented because of distance. In line with this, the secretary warns the renters of lands and those who abuse the situation of the DAR Awardees .
Sec. Rafael Mariano said “DAR would like to declare for renters of those awarded lands to stop. Do not put DAR in the situation of filing charges against you for obstruction of the implementation of the Agrarian Reform Program.”
