Isaac Hughes, a nine-year old boy from Mold, Wales would love to smile like the other children is hangs around with. Unfortunately, he finds this difficult no matter how hard he tries because he was born with Moebius Syndrome.
Moebius Syndrome is a neurological disorder that affects the cranial nerves and causes facial paralysis. Despite his inability to talk, Isaac still found ways to communicate his story and express his feelings to his parents. He also enjoys playing with his friends.
Isaac said his first word at the age of seven and his speech is gradually progressing. His doctor says a surgery is necessary to restore Isaac’s condition. However, the family is not in a hurry to undergo surgery and may wait until Isaac grows older.
