President Rodrigo Roa Duterte graced the Pastors’ Enrichment Program (PEP) 2016, an annual religious convergence of the Jesus the Anointed One Church (JA1), at the Pinnacle Hotel and Suites in Davao City.
The meeting happened shortly after the President met his orthopedic doctor at The Pinnacle Hotel and Suites where coincidentally, the JA1 congregation was also holding their five-day annual religious seminar. He was later on urged by the religious members to grace their event and to hold a pray over session with the President.
In his message, the President touched on several issues that include the government’s anti-drug campaign, history of conflict in Mindanao and the emergence of Abu Sayyaf, his political view in the upcoming ASEAN summit, and his personal views on the Christian faith. He also assured them that his term would be a clean government for the Filipino people.
Following his impromptu speech, Bishop Arthur V. Gonzales, founder and president of the JA1, led the pray over session for the President.
Founded in 1998, the JA1 have grown into a global religious community with 20 community satellite networks and 24 international satellite network churches that continues to expand to this day.Show More
