Jose Luis Torices, a 47-year old Mexican has turned his ugly story into a good one and an opportunity tohelp others with similar experiences. It all began at the age of 18 when he lost his arms.

Jose Luis had his two hands burnt after an electrocution from high voltage cables. At first, the doctors thought that his chance of survival was impossible. The electrocution caused gangrene so it was necessary for the doctors to amputate his arms.

Nevertheless, Jose Luis refused to give up. The former builder and father of three joined APBK, an association of foot and mouth painters in 2011. With painting, Jose Luis is still able to provide the needs of his family.
